An antique dutch boy chintz bonnet. Dates from the early 1700's. This bonnet has been made out of several pieces of chintz fabric that have been sewn together. Beautiful florals against a medium white ground. A silk and cotton trim lines the sides and top center. All hand stitched. Original Liner.
The child's bonnets were made and used in the small fishing village of Marken, Holland. The antique chintz's were hand down from generation to generation.
