Rare find! Two large sets of gold metallic Chateau tassels. French in origin. These are enormous and would look amazing hung along the sides of a large tapestry, use for large curtains or drape around a stunning mirror. The tassels have a decorative lattice work domed top with rope fringes at the bottom. Each set attached to a thick gold metallic rope cording. There is an adjustment ring on the cording. Dark bronze patina and even throughout. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
Each tassel measures 26 cm from top bobble to bottom of strands.
The width across the strands of each tassel is 7 cm at widest points.
The cording for each set measures 4 meters 15 cm in length x 1.5 cm wide.
Condition
Very good condition for age. You will see some loose threads and some and a bit of fray but what you would expect on an item of this age. One ring on set has a split but could be stabilized with a bit of glue. The other set has a broen ring above each tassel but again could be stabilized with a bit glue if desired. Nothing major.
