A very large Dutch early 1900's tarpauline canvas cover. Brownish in color. This may have been made and used as a mast cover for those famous Dutch "tjalk" saily ships. At one corner of the canvas a series of hand painted numbers in a silver white paint "7564" and at the opposite length side the same seris of numbers. Approximatey at the center three lines of hand painted numbers and words in Dutch showing the name of the company, telephone number (only four digits) and the village name:

Entire piece measures 5 meters 74 cm in length x 1 meter 42.5 cm wide
Each panel measures approx.
1 meter 42.5 cm in length x 95 cm wide
1 meter 42.5 cm in length x 98 cm wide
Condition
Left in "as found" condition.
There are areas of discoloration and areas of uneven color. A few small holes and some patches in a round shape here and there. Also some stains here and there but basically what you would expect on an item of this age and a utilitarian piece.
It will undoubtedly need a cleaning
