Part of a large collection we recently acquired. A hand written page from a large collection of sample books and fabrics we recently acquired by Nicolas Yemeriz. Dating from the early 1800's. This page has three small silk brocade samples attached to the front (two top samples placed next to each other) with written discriptions on the front and back page. Perfect study pieces or for reproduction. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Nicolas Yemeniz was a manufacturer of silk fabrics for furniture and a bibliophile naturalized French in 1817, born in September 1781 (according to his naturalization certificate) or April 15, 1783 (according to his marriage certificate) in the island of Chalkis-les-Constantinople (now Heybeliada, Turkey) and died on April 30, 1871 in Lyon. He came from an ancient aristocratic Phanariote family.
Measurements
almost 22 cm from top to bottom x 16.5 cm wide.
Condition
The page shows signs of age (being over 200 years old) and there are some marks on both sample pieces.
