Rare Find! A bolt of vintage 100% silk ikat from Lyon.  Shades of green with a bit of gold and a camel accent. Double weave. The narrow solid green lines measuring 1 cm wide have a gold metal thread woven into the fabric which gives the ikat a rich look but not overdone. Base threads are a thick white silk floss running the width with finer silk threads running in the length. The weave looks like tapestry or what you see in thicker linens. The fabric has a medium weight to it and would be suitable for curtains, upholstery work, soft furnishings or would make a striking kaftan.
