A beautiful antique sample book from Lyon. Mostly with silk & metallic lame samples. . Only the last 11 pages are wool weaves.You rarely see these up for sale with most pieces either in private collections of museums. This book contains 355 samples of lame with a wide range of styles, colors and designs. I have counted the wool weaves which comprise just a few pages at the back of the book. There are 124 pages in total. Most of the pages are full front and back. Perfect study pieces or for reproduction. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

The book itself measures 35 cm from top to bottom x 25 cm wide x 11 cm thick.
Samples range in size from 6 cm x 3.5 cm to 23 cm x 14 cm
The majority of the samples meaures 22 cm x 13 cm
Condition
All of the samples are in good condition. Colors are good and strong. You will see some wear to the paper around the edges. The binding on the book has some heavier wear but still intact.
