A very large and decorative antique French tassel. Beautifully woven top in fine rope cordings. Long gold silk rope strands at bottom Five strands of decorative silk covered wooden bobble strands with silk covered ribbonwork accents. There is a heavy metal ring at the top of the tassel so a piece of cording to hang can easily be added.

Overall good condition with light signs of age and some missing silk threads covering the wooden bobbles and ribbon work rosettes. Nothing major and what you would expect on an items of this age.
