Two 19th century French gold and silver metallic brocade panels. Done is a heavy weave which looks quil opulent. The panels have the same design of exotic looking florals with what looks like a pear shaped motif and large scrolled leaves. The use of this particuliar silver metallic thread has a crinkle look and catches light. . Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
Each panel measures
1 meter 13 cm in length x 26 cm wide.
Condition
The top 27 cm of one panel shows a large hole, some smaller holes and loose threads.
The other panel panel 40 cm of the top part showing loose threads, wear and old darned repairs
Beautiful pieces for reuse and upscaling with a combination of a good amount of material undamaged and other pieces that can be worked into projects.
