Set of two enormous French fabric sample books. Both dating from the 1950's (although the books look much older). Both books weigh approximately 15 kilos. There are 123 samples in one book (mostly smaller samples) and 64 samples in the other book (mostly larger pieces).  All the pages have printed and handwritten discriptions.  Linen ties at one side. There is a manufactures sticker on the inside of the book showing that the sample books were made in Roubaix, France.

Photos are a good indication of actual color and condition. 
 
Measurements
 
Each book measures 
 
47 x 39 cm and are approximately 16 cm thick at the back of the books. 
 
Condition
 
The samples are in good condition The pages are quit dusty and the bindings are intact but show some heavy wear.
