Gorgeous warm color in these antique wooden spools of gold metallic thread. French in origin. Gold metallic wrapped around a marigold coton core. Warm light orange gold in color. Intended for hand sewing only.  Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

The spool measures 
6 cm from top to bottom x 2.5 cm across the bottom 
Spool is a third full. Probably around 30 meters of thread. 
 
Condition
  
Old stock. Good condition.  The only thing to note is that the outer layer of the thread shows some tarnish that has darkened the first few meters of the thread.
