Vintage wooden spool of gold metallic rococo thread. French in origin.  Gold metallic wrapped around a marigold cotton core.Intended for couching, outlining. Still has it's original paper label.Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

4.5 cm from top to bottom x 3 cm across the bottom 
The thread is just under 1 mm wide.
Full spool. Probably around 35 meters of thread.
