Old world look to this antique cope hood. French in origin. Ground is gold lame.  Center depicts a pelican feeding her young. At the sides and along the bottom scrolled leaves and florals.  All the embroidery done in silk and metallic threads. Photos are a good represenation of actual color.

52 cm across the top edge x 54 cm from top center to bottom center. 
 
Condition
 
There is a small break in the lame fabric towards the top center. Some normal signs of aging with the threads slightly loose in the leaf motif at top but nothing major or distracting.  
 
Would be beautiful framed or used as a pillow front.
