Large 19th century French quilt fragment. Cotton. Fabrics front and back. 
 
Front fabrics: Repeating Oberkampf block print of stylized blossoms in mustard yellow, a bit of green and white against a sky blue background. 
 
Back side: Some more of the same Oberkampf that is on the front as well as two solid cotton fabrics in fleshy pink and light brown color.

Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Heavily distressed. The fabrics surrounding the the blossom design in the Oberkampf fabrics has dissapeared for the most part although some of the motifs are still connected with small bit of fabric. The solid colored fabrics at the back show several holes    from medium to smaller sizes and there is one large stain towards one corner.
